Bratislava, 13 April (TASR) - House Chair Richard Rasi (Voice-SD) has congratulated Hungarian opposition leader Peter Magyar and his Tisza party on their victory in the Hungarian general election, expressing his belief that Magyar will strengthen ties with Slovakia through his policies, according to a statement posted by Rasi on social media on Sunday (12 April). "Hungarian voters have determined the future direction of their nation in a free and democratic election. I congratulate the winner, Peter Magyar, and his Tisza party on their victory, and I believe that their policies will strengthen the good relations with the Slovak Republic, while we jointly take part in supporting and developing the Visegrad Four (V4: the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia), as well as the European Union and the North Atlantic Alliance, of which we are members," stated Rasi. Based on the partial results of Sunday's general election in Hungary, opposition leader Peter Magyar's TISZA party is in a dominant position, with incumbent Prime Minister and Fidesz party leader Viktor Orban describing the result as "painful". jrg
