Bratislava, 10 April (TASR) - Building hospitals is a priority for us, but we won't sign a 'blank cheque', the opposition Christian Democrats (KDH) stated on Friday in response to a call by President Peter Pellegrini to political parties to commit themselves to continuing the construction of strategic hospitals even after the 2027 parliamentary elections, the party's communications department told TASR on Friday, adding that KDH has called for an expert commission to be set up and a financial plan for hospital construction to be submitted.

Bratislava, 10 April (TASR) - A geological and hydrogeological survey for the Karpaty tunnel in the Small Carpathian mountain range involving 176 boreholes is set to begin shortly, with the basic measurements to take three years, followed by 12 years of hydrogeological monitoring, Transport Minister Jozef Raz (a Smer-SD nominee) announced in a video posted on social media on Friday.

Bratislava, 10 April (TASR) - The Internal Affairs Inspectorate (UIS) respects the Slovak Bar Association's (SAK) decision to dismiss as unfounded its complaint against lawyer Peter Kubina over his statements on social media, but it maintains that lawyers should uphold the integrity of their profession and adjust their public statements accordingly, UIS spokesperson Andrea Dobiasova told TASR on Friday.
