Government to Set-up New Council for Digital Transformation and AI

8. apríla 2026 17:11
Bratislava, 8 April (TASR) - The cabinet on Wednesday approved a proposal to set up a Government Council for Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence submitted by the Investment, Regional Development and Informatisation Ministry (MIRRI). According to the ministry, it will serve as an advisory and coordination body for informatisation, the single digital market and the digitisation of public administration focusing on the provision of electronic services for both legal and natural persons. It will also deal with the delivery of e-Government systems, while steering the development of Slovakia's economic environment toward a digital economy. Unlike the Government Council for Public Administration Digitisation and the Single Digital Market, the new council will also focus on shaping the priorities and targets of Slovakia's digital policy and examine whether legislative proposals in the digital agenda complement each other. jrg/df
