ARDAL: Slovakia Sells Bonds Worth over €4.4 billion in First Quarter

Bratislava, April 2 (TASR) - Slovakia sold government bonds with a total nominal value of €4.441 billion in the first quarter of this year, including €2.024 billion via regular monthly auctions, €2 billion via syndicated sales, and €417 million via bonds intended for ordinary people, the Debt and Liquidity Management Agency (ARDAL) announced in its latest monthly report for March 2026.
In March alone, the state sold bonds worth €771 million via an auction with total demand from investors reaching €967 million. A new issue of Bonds for the Public was also floated in the third month of this year, with two types of securities sold. The state borrowed €250 million via a two-year Investor II bond and an additional €167 million via a four-year Patriot II bond.
The agency announced that the next government bond auction will take place on Monday, April 20. It plans to sell bonds worth €10 billion for the whole of this year.
