Bratislava, 17 March (TASR) - MP Frantisek Majersky has become a member of the opposition's Christian Democratic Movement (KDH), it follows from a press release sent to TASR by KDH's press department on Tuesday. Until now, Majersky had only been part of the Christian Democrats' parliamentary caucus. "MP and long-time rescuer Frantisek Majersky has become an official member of KDH. A successful expert and regional politician who ran for Parliament on the KDH slate, by this step definitively confirms his value and political affiliation with the movement," the Christian Democrats stated. This move was also welcomed by KDH chair Milan Majersky. "In Parliament, Frantisek Majersky proves every day that he is a cornerstone of our team and a tireless fighter for better healthcare," he noted. Frantisek Majersky sees joining KDH as a firm part of his decision to bring decency and a genuine interest in people into politics. "Slovakia needs decent and professional politics, and therefore I believe KDH is a clear alternative to the current coalition. We must not respond with hatred, we must bring solutions while not losing our humanity," he added. mf
