Bratislava, 12 March (TASR) – Employers associated in the Republic Union of Employers (RUZ) met on Thursday with the head of the Supreme Audit Authority (NKU) Lubomir Andrassy and both sides agreed that Slovakia faces serious systemic problems that require fundamental and comprehensive reforms, TASR learnt about the meeting from RUZ spokesperson Petra Podhorcova on the same day. According to Podhorcova, the discussion focused on the deteriorating quality of the legislative process, the frequent misuse of the fast-track legislative procedure, and the formal nature of public consultations on key state decisions. "Legislative chaos has become one of the biggest problems for the business environment. The fast-track legislative procedure is routinely used in cases where there are no grounds for it. Every government promises improvements before elections, but the reality does not change. It is not enough to state that the system does not work; we must find a way to achieve real change," said RUZ president Miroslav Kiralvarga. mf
