Bratislava, 12 March (TASR) - Following a slight increase in December, revenues in industry, the key sector of the economy, fell by 1 percent year on year (y-o-y) in fixed prices in January 2026 when adjusted for inflation, the Statistics Office reported on Thursday. Of the 16 monitored industrial branches, nine posted a drop in revenues, with the most significant impact on the overall result seen in metal production, down by 9.9 percent, and in the manufacture of wood products, down by 26.2 percent.
