Trnava, 11 March (TASR) - Antolin Trnava plans to wind down operations gradually at its plant in Trnava, which currently employs between 55 and 99 people, according to the company's statement provided to TASR by its HR Manager Martina Cisarova. Cisarova stated that the company continues to uphold its commitment to Slovakia, where it operates other industrial facilities and maintains cooperation with customers and partners. "As part of the ongoing adjustment of our industrial footprint to customer demand and the production needs of the automotive sector, Antolin has decided to continue the gradual winding down of operations at its Trnava plant. This procedure is being managed in close coordination with the local management team and in full compliance with Slovak labour law," stated Cisarova. The Labour, Social Affairs and the Family Centre received the announcement concerning the mass lay-offs on 5 November 2025. According to the centre, 46 jobs are at stake in this connection. Antolin Trnava was established in 2015. It's part of the Grupo Antolin international group and is one of the major global suppliers of components for the automotive industry. The Trnava plant focuses primarily on the production of interior parts and other components for car manufacturers operating in western Slovakia. The company's basic capital exceeds €5 million, and the company is in foreign hands. The Trnava plant employed several hundred workers in the past. These developments at Antolin have come amid Samsung Electronics' announcement that it is halting the production of TV sets at its Galanta plant. The plant has long been one of the major employers in the area, with several hundred workers. ko/df
