Government to Deal with Agreement between Slovakia and Hungary

Bratislava, 11 March (TASR) - At its regular session on Wednesday, the government will discuss a draft protocol amending the agreement between the Slovak and Hungarian governments on cooperation in the construction, operation, maintenance, reconstruction and restoration of operations after an outage of a hydrocarbon pipeline crossing the common state border.
In line with the draft protocol, Slovnaft refinery and its Hungarian parent company MOL plan to build a new 127-kilometre-long cross-border pipeline for the transport of hydrocarbon products and fuels between the Slovak town of Sahy (Nitra region) and the Hungarian town of Szazhalombatta.
The cabinet should also deal with the agreement on social welfare between Slovakia and Moldova. The aim is to regulate bilateral relations between the two countries in the field of social welfare in line with the national legislation in force in them.
The focus of Slovakia's bilateral development cooperation for 2026 is on the agenda of the session as well. According to the document, it will respond to current global and regional challenges and strengthen cooperation with partner countries in order to support their resilience, sustainable development and reform processes. A total of €18.8 million has been allocated for bilateral development cooperation this year.
