Estok Meets Egyptian Ambassador, Praises Egypt's Approach to Evacuation Flights

Bratislava, 9 March (TASR) - Foreign Affairs Ministry State Secretary Marek Estok has held talks with Egyptian Ambassador to Slovakia Walid Mohamed Ismail Mahmoud, the Foreign Affairs Ministry's communications department has posted on social media. The current situation in the Middle East was high on the agenda of the talks, with Estok praising Egypt's approach to evacuation flights. "We value Egypt's active approach in arranging special flights for Slovak and other European Union citizens, as well as in providing telephone contact between the foreign ministers of the two countries," said Estok, who also expressed appreciation for Egypt's support for medical evacuations provided by Slovakia from the Gaza Strip. The two officials also discussed bilateral economic cooperation. Both the state secretary and the ambassador confirmed interest in further deepening Slovak-Egyptian relations and intensifying political dialogue based on mutual respect, with the aim of providing stability and prosperity in the global environment. ko/df
