ISPOS Survey: Fair Pay Key Factor in Corporate Stability

Bratislava, 7 March (TASR) - The key factors influencing the stability of working teams include a sense of fairness and clear remuneration rules, according to a survey conducted by Ipsos for GreenTalk agency in Slovakia, TASR reported earlier this week.
At the same time, new pay transparency legislation is under way, with more requirements set to be imposed on employers.
As many as 62 percent of the respondents don't consider the remuneration system in their company to be fully transparent, and approximately 51 percent of employees feel financially undervalued. More than half of the respondents would be willing to leave their current job for a better financial offer, while one-fifth say that salary is the most decisive factor.
"For some employees, pay is a key factor, especially in the context of rising living costs and inflation. For another group, a better financial offer would trigger thoughts about making a change, but it wouldn't be the only factor. Non-financial aspects such as corporate culture, flexibility and opportunities for growth would also play an important role," said Paula Ivankova from Ipsos, adding that it is in these very areas that companies can strengthen trust and loyalty.
The issue will be influenced by the EU Pay Transparency Directive, which is to be transposed by member states by June 2026.
"Companies will have to adjust employment contracts and internal regulations, disclose salary ranges in job offers, and systematically analyse pay gaps, while at the same time taking corrective measures," explained KPMG sustainability manager Peter Skyrta.
