Bratislava, 2 March (TASR) - Foreign and European Affairs Minister Juraj Blanar (Smer-SD) held a telephone call with Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi to discuss evacuation flights and the current developments in the region, TASR learnt on Monday. "These days we are doing our utmost to secure evacuation flights for Slovak citizens from the crisis area, where it is currently possible to use the airspace at least to a limited extent. Arranging overflight permits is extremely demanding, which is why I also spoke with Safadi today. It is from Jordan's Aqaba and Amman that we will repatriate the first Slovak men and women as early as Tuesday (3 March)," Blanar posted on his social media. The Jordanian foreign minister also briefed Blanar on the latest developments in the region. "The situation is changing very rapidly and, unfortunately, continues to escalate and is not moving towards the much-needed peaceful solution," the head of Slovak diplomacy noted. mf
