Sutaj Estok: Civilised World Should Always Look for Ways to Avert War

Bratislava, 28 February (TASR) – Interior Minister and junior coalition Voice-SD party leader Matus Sutaj Estok expressed sadness over the escalating tension in the Middle East, adding that weapons have once again taken precedence over diplomatic solutions. Writing on a social network, Sutaj Estok cautioned that any military confrontation brings immense suffering to innocent people. "The civilised world should always look for ways to avert war," stressed Sutaj Estok. Explosions were heard in Iran on Saturday morning during a joint Israeli-American military intervention. Blasts were reported from several locations, including Tehran, Isfahan, Qom, Tabriz, and Kermanshah. According to US President Donald Trump, the "major combat operations" are aimed at eliminating the threat posed by the Iranian regime. Iran has responded with missile strikes on Israel. jrg
