Stats: Fastest Employment Growth in Accommodation and Restaurants in December

Bratislava, 12 February (TASR) - Employment rose in only four of the ten monitored sectors of Slovakia's economy in December 2025, with the most rapid year-on-year (y-o-y) growth of 3.2 percent being reported both in accommodation and in pubs and restaurants, the Statistics Office reported on Thursday. Employment also posted y-o-y growth in the sale and repair of motor vehicles, while a slight increase was reported in the information and communications sector. Conversely, six sectors posted drops in employment, with the most rapid ones seen in wholesale (4.2 percent), in transport and warehousing (2.6 percent), and in industrial manufacturing (1.4 percent). ko/df
