Government to Deal with National Football Stadium, as Well as Kotlar's Report

Bratislava, 11 February (TASR) - At it regular session on Wednesday, the cabinet will deal with the draft procedure in preparation of the National and Regional Partnership Plan (NRPP), which will serve as the key strategic document for drawing EU funds in the 2028–2034 programming period. The preparation should be carried out in two stages. The submitted version of the plan should be approved by the government no later than October 2027. Cabinet ministers are also expected to approve a proposal for further procedure in connection with the National Football Stadium (NFS) project. Tourism and Sport Minister Rudolf Huliak (Independent) has proposed that responsibility for court disputes related to the NFS's construction be transferred exclusively to his ministry. This should remove any doubts regarding jurisdiction and powers in connection with the legal representation of the state in court proceedings. Under classified items, the agenda of Wednesday's session includes a report by Government Proxy for Investigation into COVID-19 Pandemic Management Peter Kotlar.
