Bratislava, 4 February (TASR) - The government has approved only approximately €80 million for projects related to the central public administration slovensko.sk website, not the requested €100 million, stated Education, Research, Development and Youth Minister Tomas Drucker (Voice-SD) following the government meeting on Wednesday.
However, the status of the slovensko.sk website will still have to be assessed by the National Security Authority in an audit. According to Drucker, the website's projects should be financed via the Recovery Plan.
The government has approved, with comments, information about the critical condition and risks threatening the slovensko.sk website presented by the Investment, Regional Development and Informatisation Ministry. The material wasn't made available in accordance with the law on the protection of classified information. Informatisation Minister Samuel Migal (Independent) didn't appear before journalists on Wednesday. According to Drucker, he was away.
Drucker further stated that the Informatisation Ministry claimed that if a project involving 16 life situations financed from the recovery plan were launched, the slovensko.sk website would collapse, and financing from the Recovery Plan would also be jeopardised.
The education minister added that, according to earlier information, the Informatisation Ministry wanted to spend more than €130 million on modernising the website. The amount of €80 million is lower than what Minister Migal requested.
