BRIEF: Zilinka: Fico Rejects Prosecutors Stance on Fight Against Corruption

Bratislava, 4 February (TASR) – Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) does not agree with the position of the Prosecutor-General's Office (PG) on the assessment of the fight against corruption within the drafted report on the state of the rule of law, Prosecutor-General Maros Zilinka said at a press conference on Wednesday.
The head of the prosecution confirmed that he met the prime minister on the issue, and insists on the position of PG. Zilinka also told Fico during the meeting about his reservations regarding the manner in which some legislation is adopted.
