Bratislava/Banska Bystrica, 2 February (TASR) – Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Richard Takac (Smer-SD) on Monday dismissed acting general director Juraj Marek and appointed Boris Gregor as general director of state-owned enterprise Forests of the Slovak Republic (Lesy SR), with effect as of 3 February.
The Agriculture and Rural Development Ministry's press department said that the decision was taken during the minister's working programme in Banska Bystrica.
The personnel changes follow the results of a selection procedure held on 29 January. Based on an expert assessment, the selection committee recommended to the minister a candidate with managerial experience and knowledge of the state enterprise environment.
"I wish the new general director, Boris Gregor, every success in his new post. I believe that these steps will contribute to the stability of the management of the state enterprise, the continuity of ongoing activities and [the enterprise's] further professional and economic development," said Takac.
