Bratislava, 29 January (TASR) - The Slovakiatour and Danubius Gastro ITF international tourism and gastronomy fairs opened their doors in Bratislava's Incheba exposition hall on Thursday.
The fairs will present travel and holiday opportunities, especially in Slovakia, but also abroad, along with gastronomic options. "A total of 100 exhibitors from seven countries are taking part in the two fairs," Katarina Brezakova of the Incheba exhibition company has told TASR.
The 31st annual ITF Slovakiatour fair includes an exhibition by national tourism promotion organisation 'Slovakia Travel', which promotes Slovakia and its regions, represented by regional tourism organisations from Bratislava region through to the east of the country. Trips across Slovakia can be inspired via cultural heritage, traditions, folklore and natural beauty.
Several spas and facilities are offering treatment and wellness stays not only in Slovakia, but also in the neighbouring Czech Republic and Hungary. The Carpathian Euroregion is presenting travel options in Poland. Tips for seaside holidays can be obtained at stands run by Croatia and Tunisia.
The 32nd Danubius Gastro fair is bringing together food and beverage producers and operators of restaurants, cafés, pastry shops, hotels and guest houses.
The Agriculture Ministry is showcasing the wares of 30 domestic food producers, holders of the Quality Mark award, in a separate exhibition. "Visitors can expect tastings, inspiration and professional meetings that connect tradition with modern gastronomy and confirm the strong position of Slovak quality on the market," said Brezakova.
Both fairs are open to the public from 29 to 31 January between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
