Bratislava, 29 January (TASR) - On the third day into the 46th parliamentary session, MPs are expected to continue the debate on amendments to the Parliament's Rules of Procedure and the code of ethics for MPs, TASR reported on Thursday.
Proposed by the coalition MPs, the amendment is to introduce several changes, such as setting a maximum time of 37.5 hours for caucuses to discuss each item on the agenda, while also adjusting the length of speaking time. The proposal also addresses the behaviour of MPs, specifying undesirable conduct and tightening penalties. As regards banners and posters in the chamber, it would be prohibited not only to bring them in, but also to produce and use them. The amendments also include a draft code of ethics for MPs.
Also on Thursday, member of the International Olympic Committee and vice-president of the Slovak Olympic Committee Danka Hrbekova is scheduled to address Parliament in connection with the departure of Slovak athletes for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
