Gov't Appoints Zsembera Proxy for Human Resources Development in Nuclear Sector

Bratislava, 28 January (TASR) - At its regular session on Wednesday, the cabinet appointed Robert Zsembera as the government proxy for developing human resources in the nuclear sector, approving a statute for the new proxy at the same time. Zsembera concurrently serves as Education Ministry State Secretary for University Education and Academic Research. "The role of the government proxy will primarily be to ensure that measures stemming from the action plan are implemented and to coordinate education and research activities in the nuclear sector with the parties concerned, including representatives of the academic, public and private sectors," states the document submitted to the session by Premier Robert Fico (Smer-SD). According to the document, Slovakia needs to make sure that there is a sufficient supply of qualified human resources in the nuclear sector. The Education Ministry has therefore developed an action plan to support education, research and the development of human resources in the nuclear sector. "The main goal of the submitted document is to successfully implement the action plan in line with the set framework, to coordinate those engaged in education and research in the nuclear sector, and to implement other measures and tasks necessary to provide enough qualified staff in line with the government proxy's statute," the document explains. ko/df
