Government to Deal with Draft Integrated System of Strategic Planning

Bratislava, 28 January (TASR) - The Strategic Coordination Centre should be established at the Government Office with the aim of ensuring the coordination of all strategic documents and the systemic integration of the formulation and implementation of public policies, according to a proposal due to be discussed by the government at its regular session on Wednesday. According to the proposal's submitters, the establishment of a coordinating body should link the processes of defining the country’s long-term direction, the national investment plan, the effective use of EU funds, and the effective implementation and consistent monitoring of all public policies. Cabinet ministers will also deal with an update of the Action Plan for the National Strategy for the Risk Management of Slovakia's Security Threats until 2028. Its aim is to specify the range of specific measures, the implementation schedule and responsibilities for their implementation, thereby ensuring the achievement of the Slovakia's goals and priorities in the field of security risk management. Premier Robert Fico (Smer-SD) at a press conference on Tuesday (27 January) said that the cabinet would also address the issue of an invitation to join to the Board of Peace. The premier himself opines that Slovakia should decline this invitation. ko
