Wizz Air to Increase Frequency of Bratislava-Kosice Flights to 13 per Week

Bratislava, 22 January (TASR) - Due to high demand, Wizz Air will increase the frequency of flights between Bratislava and Kosice from nine to 13 per week, spokesperson for Bratislava Airport Veronika Demovicova stated on Thursday, adding that the change will take effect on 21 March this year. The domestic route will thus be served twice a day, except on Wednesdays, when there will be one flight. "We are delighted to be able to further strengthen the air connection between Bratislava and Kosice. Demand for this route has already exceeded our expectations. By increasing the frequency of flights, we're responding to growing interest from passengers," said corporate communications manager at Wizz Air Vera Jardan. The carrier currently offers a total of 35 routes from Slovakia to 34 destinations in 22 countries. In 2025, it operated more than 2,000 flights to and from Slovakia, carrying nearly half a million passengers and achieving a flight completion rate of 99.78 percent. am
