Education Minister Drucker to Receive Czech Counterpart Plaga

Bratislava, 22 January (TASR) - Slovak Education Minister Tomas Drucker (Voice-SD) will receive his Czech counterpart Robert Plaga as part of the latter's working visit to Slovakia, scheduled for 22 and 23 January, the Education Ministry's communications department has informed TASR. The talks will focus on exchanging experiences and good practices regarding key issues of the two countries' education sectors, in particular the school network and the optimal size of schools; the financing of universities; bans on the use of mobile phones at school; pre-school, primary and secondary education, including the digitisation of admissions procedures; consulting, prevention and desegregation; teacher development; and the protection of children in the digital space and on social networks. The main bilateral meeting between the ministers will be held at the ministry on Friday (23 January). The Slovak and Czech ministers are expected to hold a joint press conference following the talks. ko/df
