Health Ministry Seeking Head of Emergency Medical Service's Operations Centre

Bratislava, 14 January (TASR) - The Health Ministry has announced a public contest for the post of director of the Emergency Medical Service's Operations Centre (OS ZZS). The ministry has specified on its website that those interested in the post must meet, among other things, certain professional criteria, including at least five years of professional experience in the field of health care, insurance, law, economics or other related fields. Applicants must also prepare a draft strategy for developing the institution. They have until 23 January to send their applications to the ministry. OS ZZS has been led by Jozef Hricka since last August, while Marian Povolny held the director's post before him. He had been at the helm of the institution since February 2025, but resigned from the post based on its own decision in August, when OS ZZS was mentioned in connection with the criticised ambulance tender. ko
