Bratislava, 14 January (TASR) - The government will hold an away-from-home session on Wednesday. Although the session will take place in the Slovak capital, the cabinet will move from the Government Office to the premises of the Zrkadlovy haj Cultural Centre in Petrzalka borough. Analysis of the socio-economic situation and specific issues of the districts of Bratislava and Senec should be the first point on the session's agenda, along with proposals for improvements in the social and economic areas. The session will also be attended by representatives of the local government - Bratislava Regional Authority, the Bratislava City Council, Bratislava city districts and the town of Senec. Also invited are Bratislava-based Comenius University rector Marek Stevcek and Peter Barton, the director of the National Institute of Children's Diseases in Bratislava. The government is also expected to approve a proposal for a short-track legislative procedure regarding an amendment to the law on information technologies in public administration. The bill, which is important in terms of drawing funds from the recovery plan, was approved by Robert Fico’s (Smer-SD) cabinet already in early November, but Parliament didn't manage to deal with it at its most recent session. ko
