Bratislava, 13 January (TASR) - M. R. Stefanik Airport in Bratislava is closed until 11:15 a.m. due to adverse meteorological conditions on the runway, expecting flight delays during the morning hours, TASR reported on Tuesday based on information on the airport's website. "An emergency operations team is holding a session to assess braking action on the runway and determine when the airport can safely resume operations. Passengers are advised to follow the airport's website, their airline's mobile applications, and airport public address announcements for the latest information regarding their departures," stated the Bratislava airport. For Bratislava region and several districts in Trnava region, the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMU) has issued a second-degree warning for black ice, valid until 6 p.m., with Bratislava's public transport services and, in particular, trams and trolleybuses operating irregularly due to black ice and icing on overhead lines, according to the Bratislava Transit Company (DPB) website. jrg
