Employee Found Dead at US Steel Kosice Plant

Kosice, 12 January (TASR) - An employee of U.S. Steel Kosice was found unconscious in the Expedition division facility on the plant premises early on Monday morning, TASR learnt on the same day. "Despite the efforts of the company rescue team, resuscitation failed," Jan Baca, the spokesman for the steelworks, confirmed for TASR. It was Korzar daily that first reported the incident. According to the spokesman, a doctor pronounced the employee dead and ruled out any third-party involvement. The steelworks has expressed its sincere condolences to the employee's family. The police have also confirmed the death of a person inside a building at the steel plant. "The examining doctor at the scene ruled out third-party involvement. The police aren't pursuing the matter further," said spokesperson for Kosice region police Jana Illesova. mf/df
