Rasi Voices Concerns over Method of Military Intervention in Venezuela

Bratislava, 3 January (TASR) - House Chair Richard Rasi (Voice-SD) is keeping a close eye on current developments in Venezuela and expressed concerns over how the military intervention has been carried out, TASR has learnt from head of the Parliament Office's communications department Veronika Piatkova. "The Slovak Republic stresses the need for restraint, dialogue, and respect for democratic principles, constitutional frameworks, and international law," according to Rasi. On Saturday morning, US President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that the United States launched a large-scale strike against Venezuela and that its President Nicolas Maduro, along with his wife, were captured and flown out of the country. Trump underlined that this operation was done in conjunction with U.S. law enforcement. jrg
