Police: Highly Explosive Acid Found at Food Research Institute in Nitra Region

Luzianky, 19 December (TASR) - Unknown substances marked as highly explosive picric acid have been found at the premises of the food research institute on Vinarska Street in the village of Luzianky (Nitra region), TASR reported on Friday based on information published by the Nitra Region Police Directorate on social media. A bomb-disposal expert was called to the scene, and the police have cordoned off and evacuated the area for safety reasons. Staff from the Interior Ministry's chemicals control laboratory are also heading to the location. According to the police, the substances were found in an unused building during an inventory clear out. jrg/df
