STVR Council Approves Draft Budget as Well as Responsibilities of Director

Bratislava, 8 December (TASR) - In 2026, public-service broadcaster STVR will manage a budget of almost €189.4 million in current expenditures, and €12.9 million in capital expenditures, with a total surplus of €200,000 and a public expenditure limit of €178.3 million, TASR learnt on Monday. The budget and its parameters were approved by the STVR Council at its meeting on Monday. The resolution adopted by the council members also includes tasks for STVR management. In connection with budget implementation, the council committed STVR general director Martina Flasikova and her team "in view of the results of a personnel audit to introduce an effective attendance system by the end of 2026, which should translate into more efficient use of salary funds". The activities of STVR's sales department are to be intensified, with the aim of increasing advertising revenues. As stipulated by the council in its resolution, Flasikova is also obliged to increase the efficiency of internal processes within the institution. By the end of March, the management should submit a concept for developing online broadcasting to the council for discussion, which will form the basis for any budget adjustments in the area of online broadcasting. am/df
