Bratislava, 2 December (TASR) - MPs approved changes in the agenda of the ongoing parliamentary session, postponing the no-confidence motion in Jan Ferencak (Voice-SD) as head of the House European affairs committee to Thursday next week (11 December) at 11:00, TASR reported on Tuesday.
The date for debating the opposition's no-confidence motions in the government and several ministers has also been changed, with the so-called joint debate on these agenda items rescheduled from 3 December to 10 December at 14:00. The changes were approved by Parliament based on a proposal submitted by the coalition.
The agenda will also include a bill on contribution for persons dependent on others' assistance which might be debated via a fast-track legislative procedure based on the government's request, if approved by Parliament on Wednesday (3 December) morning. The bill has been prepared by the Labour, Social Affairs and the Family Ministry.
Subsequently, Parliament should debate an amendment to the Social Insurance Act drawn up by the same ministry, and then proceed to bills proposed by the Economy Ministry and the Finance Ministry.
On Thursday morning (4 December), lawmakers are expected to debate the bill for transforming the Whistleblowers Protection Office (UOO) into a new office, which advanced to the second reading on Tuesday.
