Migal: Major Outage of Slovensko.sk Greater Threat Than Land Registry Failure

Bratislava, 11 November (TASR) - The central public administration website Slovensko.sk is in a disastrous state, and Slovakia must prepare to put it in order, Investments, Regional Development and Informatisation Minister Samuel Migal (Independent) stated on Tuesday, adding that a major outage of the website could cause a much greater disaster than the failure of the land registry in January of this year. The minister pointed out that the website had an outage lasting about 40 minutes last week, the 32nd or 33rd such incident within the past eight months. "We're preparing a specific document for a government meeting on the real state of Slovensko.sk so that the public and our colleagues in the government can see what condition it is in," added Migal. am/df
