Sutaj Estok: No Fatalities in Train Collision, 11 Injured Taken to Hospital

Bratislava, 9 November (TASR) - No lives were lost in a train collision on the line between Pezinok (Bratislava region) and Bratislava on Sunday, Interior Minister Matus Sutaj Estok (Voice-SD) reported at the scene of the accident.
After the accident, 11 injured people were taken to hospital in Bratislava, and dozens of people suffered minor injuries.
Sutaj Estok said that more than 60 police officers and 70 firefighters were deployed at the scene. Justice Minister Boris Susko (Smer-SD) added in a statement that evacuation buses from the Prison and Judicial Guard Corps were also deployed to help transport passengers from the site of the accident. "I'd like to take this opportunity to express my sincere wish for a speedy recovery of those injured," said the minister.
