Bratislava, 4 November (TASR) – The Interior Ministry has announced a public procurement for the supply of 30 service SUV vehicles for the Office for the Protection of Constitutional Officials and Diplomatic Missions, with Porsche Slovakia selected as the winner of the tender, the Interior Ministry's press department told TASR on Tuesday.
The ministry plans to conclude two framework agreements – for 15 petrol and 15 diesel vehicles – with a total value of €2.12 million.
“The winning company will deliver Audi Q7 SUV TFSI quattro 250 kW and Audi Q7 SUV TDI quattro 210 kW vehicles. According to the official price list, the usual price of these models starts at €75,090, while the Interior Ministry will purchase them for €65,310 including VAT per vehicle, representing a saving of €9,780 compared to the base model price. When compared using the official Audi configurator, the same vehicle would cost up to €90,524, meaning a saving of €25,214 per vehicle – almost 30 percent off the usual market price,” the ministry explained.
It added that for an additional €5,443 per vehicle, servicing for five years or 150,000 km and a set of four original wheels will be provided. According to the ministry, the winning offer was the lowest among all bidders and reasonable given the technical specifications, the contract volume, and the specialised configuration of the vehicles.
The ministry noted that in recent years, the protection office has lacked regular vehicle renewal, which has negatively affected the technical and visual condition of the cars as well as the efficient use of ministry funds.
