Michalovce Hospital: No Bomb Found by Police

Michalovce, 3 October (TASR) – Following a bomb threat in the Michalovce hospital (Kosice region) on Friday morning, the police ended the inspection with a negative result, Bianka Krejciova from the Penta Hospitals SK company told TASR on the same day. According to her, the provision of healthcare has not been restricted and there was no need to evacuate patients. After an anonymous e-mail threat about a bomb planted in the hospital, the hospital contacted the police immediately. On Friday morning, the police have secured the area around the hospital and carried out the necessary security measures, according to Kosice Regional Police Directorate spokesperson Lenka Ivanova. "A dog handler with a police dog trained to detect explosives is also present at the scene, and pyrotechnic inspection is being carried out in the hospital," she said. jrg
