VSE and ZSE Energia Power Utilities to Merge into Energetika Slovensko

Bratislava, 29 May (TASR) - Slovak power utilities VSE and ZSE Energia will merge into Energetika Slovensko, a.s., as of July 1, 2025, with the merger being approved by respective bodies of individual companies, including shareholders of the ZSE group, company representatives announced at a news conference in Bratislava on Thursday. "Our priority is to bring the customers of both brands - ZSE and VSE - better and higher quality services supported by sharing common experiences," said Juraj Bayer, the current chairman of the board of directors at both VSE and ZSE Energia. According to Bayer, the merger will have no impact on the customers or trading partners of ZSE Energia and VSE. "All rights and obligations of ZSE Energia will be taken over by successor joint-stock company Energetika Slovensko. Both brands, ZSE and VSE, will be preserved, and customers will be able to continue to rely on the stability and security of their supplies," stressed Bayer. Bayer added that customers won't have to sign new contracts, and electricity or gas meter readings will not be required, either. Energetika Slovensko won't change the payment methods or bank connections that customers are used to. Customer centres in both the east and west of the country will remain available to them. ko/df
