Voice-SD Leadership Convenes Session on Latest Coalition Developments

Bratislava, February 19 (TASR) - The junior coalition Voice-SD party leadership convened a session on Wednesday, party spokesperson Michaela Eliasova confirmed to TASR on the same day. Coalition leaders these days are discussing the problems that have been bedevilling the coalition. Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) issued his partners from Voice-SD and SNS an ultimatum to restore the parliamentary majority by Monday (February 17) or else he would submit to President Peter Pellegrini his own motion to make personnel changes in the government. The head of state reported on Wednesday that he hasn't received any definitive proposal for government restructuring and asked Prime Minister Fico to append to his proposal also signatures of legislators, so as to demonstrate that Fico still commands a parliamentary majority. mf/mcs
