Bratislava, October 30 (TASR) - The goal of Health Minister Kamil Sasko (Voice-SD) is to defuse the health crisis and stabilise the situation by the end of the year, so that patients won't be traumatised by a health sector riven with disputes, TASR was told by the Health Ministry's press department on Wednesday.
The department said this after Sasko's Wednesday meeting with heads of health facilities, which operate under the remit of the Health Ministry, and representatives of the Slovak Hospital Association.
"The Health Minister will report on details of the meeting tomorrow (October 31) on the premises of the Nove Zamky Faculty Hospital at 10.30 a.m., when he will attend the official opening of the construction of emergency medical service stations, due to be financed under the Recovery Plan," said the ministry.
More than 2,700 doctors from hospitals all across Slovakia have begun to file notices en masse since Tuesday (October 29) to demonstrate their unhappiness with the situation prevailing in the Slovak health system.
