Revuca, August 26 (TASR) - A documentary about the Slovak National Uprising (SNP) will be premiered on Monday evening at the Litterra cultural and educational centre in the town of Revuca (Banska Bystrica region), the event's organiser, NGO Post Bellum, has informed TASR, adding that a discussion with experts will form part of the event. The new documentary about the SNP will present several stories of the anti-fascist resistance in Slovakia to the public. The free screening of the movie will start at Litterra at 6.30 p.m. People in Tisovec (Banska Bystrica region), Banska Bystrica and Trstena (Zilina region) will be able to see the film during September, and it will also be screened in Bratislava in October. "We didn't choose Revuca as the first place for our series of discussions by chance. Battles took place during the SNP near the town, which is also the birthplace of the commander of the Slovak rebel army during the SNP, General Rudolf Viest," stated Post Bellum. The premiere at Litterra will be followed by a discussion on the resistance in Slovakia. Post Bellum director Sandra Polovkova will be joined by historians Martin Posch from the History Institute of the Slovak Academy of Sciences and Martin Rodak, head of a Post Bellum programme called 'We Are Documenting'. ko/df
