SHMU: It Will Also Be Hot on Thursday, Up to 37 degrees Celsius in Places

Bratislava, August 14 (TASR) - The heatwave will continue in Slovakia on Thursday (August 15), with the air temperature climbing up to 37 degrees Celsius in some places, prompting the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMU) to issue both first- and second-degree alerts. A second-level heat alert will be in effect in the whole of Trnava, Nitra and Bratislava regions, as well as in most of Banska Bystrica, Trencin and Kosice regions. Air temperature here may rise to 35-37 degrees Celsius in the afternoon. The first-level warning for the afternoon is issued for most of Presov and Zilina regions. am/mcs
