Police: No Reports Filed in Connection with Epstein Case

Bratislava, 20 February (TASR) - The police have no record of any reports filed in connection with the files and the case of late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, TASR learnt from the Police Corps Presidium press department on Friday. "At present, we are investigating suspicions related to possible human trafficking based on information published in the media," stated the department, emphasising that the police deal with any relevant suspicion of illegal conduct, whether identified as part of own inquiries or duly reported. Earlier on Friday, junior governing Slovak National Party (SNS) leader Andrej Danko called for setting up an analytical team to examine possible connections between the Epstein files and Slovakia. He claimed that Slovakia is mentioned more than 700 times in the files and that money flowed into Slovakia from Epstein. Danko also pointed out that similar analytical teams have been set up in Poland and Germany. jrg
