Bratislava, 2 December (TASR) - The no-confidence motion in Jan Ferencak (Voice-SD) as head of the House European affairs committee is expected to be postponed from this Tuesday until next week, TASR was told by head of the Slovak National Party (SNS) parliamentary caucus Roman Michelko following a coalition council meeting. "We've made it a priority that all laws related to the recovery plan must be passed first. There are about four bills, so the session will be changed a little. Today, at 5 p.m., there will be some changes to the agenda during the vote," he said. The no-confidence motion in Ferencak was tabled by Voice-SD MPs. They want to replace him with Peter Kmec (Voice-SD). "Given that MP Kmec has begun to exercise his MP's mandate, we propose MP Ferencak's dismissal from the post of European Affairs committee chair, as MP Kmec has many years of experience, professional practice, very good contacts and a good reputation in the field of diplomacy," stated the Voice-SD MPs. Ferencak criticised Voice's communication about his dismissal. He sees the no-confidence vote in him as a test of political culture, and he's of the opinion that voting will determine whether posts in Parliament will be viewed through the lens of work or party agreements. He criticised the proposal submitted by Voice-SD MPs as being insufficiently justified and discussed. Ferencak reiterated that if he's dismissed, he'll leave the Voice-SD parliamentary caucus but will remain in the party. am/df
