Bratislava, May 12 (TASR) - The largest electricity producer in Slovakia, Slovenske elektrarne (SE), has completed the first of this year's five temporary shutdowns of its nuclear reactors, and the first reactor in the Mochovce nuclear power plant (Nitra region) is thus supplying the grid again, Slovenske elektrarne reported on Monday. "The general temporary shutdown of the first unit of the Mochovce nuclear power plant ended on Saturday, May 10, by connecting the turbine to the power system. During the shutdown, Slovenske elektrarne replaced the fuel and cleaned, renewed and inspected important equipment and relevant components. In order to ensure that everything operates safely until next time, the power utility also carried out a number of pressure and leak tests in the primary circuit areas," stated the power producer. am/df
