(RTVS, O pat minut dvanast, October 2) Coalition MP Juraj Seliga (For the People) will consult with his party colleagues on how to vote on Tuesday (October 4) regarding the no-confidence motion in Finance Minister Igor Matovic. Speaking on RTVS's discussion programme 'Five Minutes to Twelve' on Sunday, Seliga noted that Matovic is under enormous pressure. "Despite that, I don't think this makes it okay for him to draw comparisons he did in Parliament," said Seliga, referring to Matovic's recent likening of "liberal journalists" to journalists in Adolf Hitler's Nazi Germany. Seliga reiterated that he's in favour of SaS party's return to the coalition. "Even in the opposition, the party is the first partner for me to strike a deal with," he said. Opposition's Smer-SD MP Richard Takac, also on the show, declared that Smer-SD will vote for Matovic's ouster. MP Maria Kolikova (SaS) doesn't believe that the liberals would really be invited back to the coalition in case Matovic is dismissed. OLaNO MP Gyorgy Gyimesi finds the effort to oust Matovic a waste of time, pointing out that Slovakia has faced a number of serious crises in the past two and half years. "And we've been entertaining the public with the ouster of Igor Matovic for two days," he claimed. mf
