Polls: Election Would Have Been Won by Voice-SD, Followed by Smer and PS (2)

Bratislava, September 30 (TASR) - If the parliamentary election had been held in late September, Voice-SD of Peter Pellegrini would have won with 20.3 percent of votes, with Smer-SD of Robert Fico ending up second (15.3 percent) and Progressive Slovakia of Michal Simecka third (9.6 percent), according to polls conducted by the Focus agency on behalf of TV Markiza. The SaS party of Richard Sulik would have ranked fourth (8.2 percent), followed up by the Republic of Milan Uhrik (7.8 percent), OLaNO of Igor Matovic (7.2 percent), We Are Family of Boris Kollar (7 percent) and Christian Democrats of Milan Majersky (6.2 percent). Failing to surpass the 5-percent threshold necessary to making it to Parliament would have been the ethnic-Hungarian Alliance (4.6 percent), SNS (3.9 percent) and LSNS (2.9 percent). In terms of parliamentary seats, Voice-SD would have garnered 38 mandates, Smer-SD 28, Progressive Slovakia 18, SaS 15, Republic 14, OLaNO and We Are Family 13 each and KDH 11.
