Bratislava, August 5 (TASR) - Paramedics have treated 350 patients this year who developed health complications in the wake of insect stings, mostly from bees, wasps and hornets, TASR learnt from Emergency Medical Service Operational Centre spokesperson Alena Krcova on Friday. The youngest patient was an 1-year-old child, the oldest an 86-year-old man. A total of 152 patients needed to be hospitalised, although no fatality was recorded. Krcova pointed out that patients allergic to bee or wasp stings should carry on them an adrenaline pen, which can be prescribed by a physician. mf/mcs
