Bratislava, September 17 (TASR) - Independent MP, ex-prime minister and head of the extra-parliamentary Voice-SD party Peter Pellegrini on Friday called on Smer-SD to lend aid to the Independents centered around him, asking Smer to provide them with the ten MPs’ signatures they lack in order to initiate a no-confidence motion in Prime Minister Eduard Heger (OLaNO). In addition, Pellegrini called on Parliamentary Chair and We Are Family head Boris Kollar to leave the coalition. “The opposition must dare to dismiss the entire Government,” said Pellegrini, explaining that his group of Independents have collected 20 of the necessary 30 signatures necessary to trigger the process. Pellegrini said that if Smer doesn't comply with the request, it will have to explain this to the public. On this note, Pellegrini remarked that Smer has recently filed a total of three no-confidence motions in Interior Minister Roman Mikulec (OLaNO), but to no avail, announcing on Friday that it’s filing yet another motion to this effect despite this. According to Pellegrini, the gravity of situation within the country's security forces exceeds the scope of the Interior Ministry, and the entire Government would have been dismissed by now in any other country under these circumstances. Referring to Kollar, who recently stated that should unlawful practices continue in regards to suspicions concerning the manipulation of witness testimonies by law enforcement, We Are Family will leave the coalition, Pellegrini stated that the coalition hinges on Kollar. “Boris Kollar has a chance to rid Slovakia of this decay...” said Pellegrini, telling Kollar that the nation won’t be angry at him for toppling the Government, but, on the contrary, will be grateful to him. zel/df
