Belusky: Several State Secretaries Still Lack Security Clearance

21. októbra 2020 20:18
Bratislava, October 21 (TASR) - A number of state secretaries haven't asked for nor received security clearance to gain access to classified information, TASR learnt from House Committee for Supervision of National Security Office (NBU) Activities chair Martin Belusky (LSNS) on Wednesday. According to Belusky, this state of affairs leads to situations when senior state officials cannot familiarise with all the information required for their work. "While no penalties exist to sanction such behaviour, it's nonetheless necessary for public to have a guarantee that these posts are held by trustworthy individuals. In my capacity of the House committee chair, I'll urge all the relevant individuals to remedy this accordingly," he added. mf
