Presov, May 22 (TASR) - By visiting military units of the Slovak Armed Forces, the current leadership of the Defence Ministry is forming for itself a realistic picture of their condition and current needs, TASR was told by ministry spokeswoman Martina Koval Kakascikova on Friday. The aim is to identify opportunities to improve the conditions for the service of professional soldiers, Defence Minister Jaroslav Nad (OLaNO) stated, who together with State Secretary Marian Majer and Chief-of-General-Staff Daniel Zmeko visited military units in Presov. "What we can do today won't be postponed until tomorrow. With this simple slogan, I'd like to express my support for all professional soldiers. Because at a time when we're primarily focusing on combating the [coronavirus] outbreak, it may seem that not enough attention is paid to other areas. However, the opposite is true. Therefore, I'm very glad that during the trips, at which we visit individual army units, we've been able to visit soldiers in Presov today and get to know their views and needs," said the defence minister. Minister Nad visited the headquarters of the 2nd Mechanised Brigade, including the ISTAR Battalion, as well as the Helicopter Wing in Presov. am
